Before Number Four, there were One, Two, and Three. Until now we've only known that the Mogadorians caught Number One in Malaysia. Number Two in England. And Number Three in Kenya. But all of that is about to change. . . . In I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: The Fallen Legacies, you'll learn the true story behind these ill-fated members of the Garde. Before they were murdered by the Mogadorians, before Number Four was next, they were all just kids on an alien planet called Earth—discovering their powers, trying to stay hidden, and running for their lives.

Okay so I am quite sure I've read this book before but hey, I also read it last night (because I'm terrible at sleeping, finally this username makes sense). Adam is really my favorite character. His character arch works so well and seeing him be so open towards growth, seeing him blossom into himself and learn who he is is so good. I can't help but wish One could have known Nine, is it just me or would they be a great couple? In any case, this is short (too short, I want more!). This series is a

The lives of One, Two, and Three told in the perspective of a Mogadorian, Adam. It is a fresh take on the series because I always perceived the Mogs as ruthless, blood-thirsty beings without emotions, but this extra showed that they are capable of having emotions such as guilt, confusion, loneliness, and even attraction. Reading this also gives you a wider idea on how the Mogadorian lives--their goals, their training, their way of life.

I was honestly a bit indifferent about Adam as a character in the main series, but this novella actually made me like him a lot more. I've always loved the "going rogue" trope too.

3.5 StarsFull review to come!

This was a really interesting difference to the Lorien books. Instead of reading from each Garde's perspectives, this one is from a unique perspective by a young Mogadorian boy's, "Adamus" as the three first Garde are killed. What is neat about this, is that you get a better sense of the lives that the "Mogs" lead. Their childhood, their training, the difference between True-Borns and the Mog military that we have come to know in these books up to this point, is detailed in a way that shines the

Definite game changer for this series. Have a feeling this certain individual is going to be a major player in book four.Found this novella moved fast trying to cover a number of years and events... but I guess it all planned out in the end and leaves us guessing at to what Adams involvement in this series will be next after knowing who he is and his background. This just leaves me itching for book four... desperately.

Very interesting about Adam. Now I know why he decided to help Garde!
