There is a kind of humanity in Professor Shonku's stories that one would really wish one's children would somehow imbibe. So I would have to prepare to read them to my boy once he is old enough to absorb them.
Fit to rival the greatest sci-fi fiction in the English Language, it is a pity that the few translations fail to do justice to the original Bengali prose.
It's been a great adventure with Shanku. An indian Scientist Who adventure the whole world with his excellent invention.
Long before I got acquainted with the works of Issac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke, I had finished reading this book. I believe the stories contained in here have inspired many writers across the globe, for there are stark resemblances in the plots and themes of numerous other stories that were written much later. Each one is a masterpiece on its own!
